Discern To Learn

An Adventure Worth Writing About

Updated: Mar 2

I met the most amazing young lady today!

Naomi is a story builder

At 14 she has just self-published her first book and seems to be on her way to a career as an author and what an adventure she is on... an adventure worth writing about.

Her Story

Naomi is a part of a homeschool family using a Passion-Driven Classical Education philosophy living in New Hampshire, USA. She has learned to get done what she needs to so she can do what she wants to do - which is imagine her stories and write!

"I couldn't stand not writing! My brain would overflow! If I couldn't write, I don't know what else I'd be doing!"

Her Book

The Struggle for Freedom is an adventure about 3 war orphans who choose to perhaps die for their freedom instead of living under the oppressive government that has taken over their country. It is a story of courage, friendship, and true commitment.

Beware! You'll be hooked - as I was when you read an excerpt here.

The beginning of chapter 9 is a turning point in the book - and Naomi's favorite passage. I love the way she shows Audrey's emotions and foreshadows the future in this passage!

Her Launchpad

Naomi may have found inspiration from her mom, Rebecca (or was it the other way around?!) who publishes a blog for homeschool families. She shares her journey and what she has learned along the way! Check out her blog here - this blog is filled with a wealth of support and information for homeschoolers of all kinds!
