Literature-Writing-Vocabulary 2021-22

The Class includes 28 x 1hr classes between September and May, all the homework scheduling, grading, downloadable outlines and marking rubrics, and email help for students.

1.  Literature Component

Illuminating Literature: Characters in Crisis by Sharon Watson (each student must buy this text)

2. Writing Component
-We will do 4-5 essays through out the year.  Literary Analysis, Opinion, Persuasion, Research

3.  Vocabulary Component

-parents can choose from Vocabulary Workshop, or Abeka Vocabulary (or another vocabulary curricula if they have a favorite)

-we will place students at an individually appropriate level 

-Vocabulary workshop has the option of using the online resources only (so no extra cost), otherwise the cost of the workbook will be the responsibility of the family

Illuminating LiteratureText:  aprox $50
Required Reading: $75-$100 (or find online or used)
Classes:  $10-13 per week for 28 weeks ($280-364)
Optional Vocabulary workbook: aprox: $30
